Crafty UAE
A production UAE marketplace that brings customers and independent sellers together across shopping, payments, shipping, returns, and day-to-day marketplace operations.
Built around the product, users, and outcome.
Crafty UAE is a live commerce platform for handmade and custom products. Customers can buy from multiple stores in one checkout, while every seller independently manages their part of the order. Seller and administrator tools coordinate inventory, fulfillment, returns, refunds, payouts, content, reporting, and marketplace operations.
Co-built and launched the platform from scratch in a two-person engineering team, delivering the customer marketplace, seller dashboard, admin panel, multi-seller orders, payments, logistics, returns, analytics, notifications, and media processing.

Technical decisions shaped by real constraints.
Coordinating one checkout across multiple sellers
A customer could purchase from several stores at once, but each seller needed independent control over acceptance, fulfillment, shipping, and completion.
I implemented a relational order hierarchy that connects one customer purchase to separate store-level order groups and individual items, allowing each seller workflow to progress independently.
Supporting partial and repeated returns
Customers needed to return selected items—not necessarily an entire order—and could require more than one return request for the same store order.
I built batch-based item returns with eligibility checks, separate reverse shipments, lifecycle tracking, seller confirmation, and connected refund processing.
Synchronizing payments and logistics
Internal order states had to remain reliable while payment, payout, delivery, and return events were processed by external providers.
I connected Telr and OTO operations to the marketplace workflow and used provider webhooks to synchronize financial and shipment events with orders, returns, notifications, and emails.
